Okay due to availability and since my boat floor never really gets wet I have decided to get pressure treated plywood for my aluminum boat. Should I stain paint the plywood with something before I install. Im looking for something I can get at home depot. And its important that glue sticks to it. Also can carpet glue be used in cold temps or should I wait till it gets warmer

What about Thompson's Water Seal? Just remember to seal both sides of the wood.

As long as you are gonna carpet, get some oil based exterior primer on it, 2 coats and the edges real well. Take the boat in the kitchen where it's warmer, most carpet glues are latex based and not real good in the cold. You could always cut the rug to fit and glue it when it's warmer. just a thought ;)

Make sure that the wood is dry before you put anything on it.
