Sand, stain and seal, that size should be able to be done in a couple of hours.

You could easily sand prime and paint that with whatever color you'd like. You could also sand and seal to allow the original wood to show. Whatever you like...

If that is the only teak on the boat then paint it or stain it. If there is more teak on the boat then sand it and put teak oil on it.

Maintaining teak does take some work. Sand it down to bare wood, maybe 60 grit or 100. Then 150 or 200 grit to smooth it out. I put about 6 coats of teak oil on mine over a 2 day period, then once a week for a month. After that it may only be once or twice a year. Try to take the teak off the boat if you can. Teak oil stains gelcoat and anything else it lands on. If you are careful and wipe up spills fast you should be ok. I did my teak 2 1/2 years ago and just redid it 2 weeks ago.

Post some photos of before and after. Shouldn't take you too long with only a little teak on the boat.Is the swim platform or step teak? I took the platform and all the other teak (except cuddy doors) right off the boat to refinish.
