I am a novice to boat repair. I re-did my carpet today and it went pretty well. I need to attach a piece of wood that my steering control sits on. The piece of wood sits on the fiberglass floor of my boat. I don't think I can used fiberglass because I do not want to cover the wood only have the adhesive between the wood and fiberglass. Would some kind of epoxy work? Any ideas? Thanks...

Re: Wood to fiberglass

can't do no better.. just make sure it's clean of grease/oil..

use clamps or drive in temp screws..

either way,, not to tite.. just contact pressure..

tite causes sqwish-out.. i.e. dry joint..
