... just kidding.... thats a far ways off. I just got home and took a bunch of pics as the "before" resto. Im a visual kinda guy so I like to see what things looked like before tearing apart. No beauty queen or pagent winner for sure. But Im looking at what I got and what it will look like when Im done. It has the bow railing. I have seen a few boats on the threads without the bow railing. So would having it be a bonus? It seems very much original. Just in poor shape. Thats why I liked this SS...it didnt seem as if someone had already rebuilt the boat. It has an older (original) gas tank too....very cool . Also came with a bimini top.. in poor shape but the hardware could be resued I assume? Then I can just get a new top?
Im very excited to get going with the project and taking my boys out fishing and tubing. Im actually going to start with the resto... since I bought it without a motor. I will be on the hunt for a 70-85hp in the next few weeks or so.
I will be full of questions as I have more of those than answers right now. I was honestly only confident in tackling this project with the feedback and support of the forums here. I will also get a photobucket account this weekend to make viewing easier. Not now though... I wanna tinker
I got the boat for $250..no trailer... no motor. I hope I did OK.
