It has been 18 months now of being clean and sober! Feels great to say the least. Staying busy is the key to my success. Now the grandkids get wore out before me..............SS

That is great. This coming March will make it 35 years for me. It doesn't seem possible but it can be done one day at a time.

Being sober is so unbelievably hard to achieve (when starting out addicted). I am sincerely happy for you!!

So did you substitute one addiction for another? My best friend is now clean and sober for many years but he runs marathons now instead. This past July he completed a 100 mile race in a little over 24 hours

I'm still jealous of the number of grandchildren you have........ my only Son has blessed me with two and I can not convince him that I would like to have over a dozen!!!! LOL

My big brother is in his 15th yr. of recovery, I intimately know how
tough it is.
