I have been serching for a reloading workbench plan on the web but so far have not found the correct one. The one I saw was a permenent workbench with top cabinet. I cannot find it anywhere and was wondering if anyone can help me with workbench plans. Thanks

Don't need no stinkin plan, I've built many workbenches, from my basement to the garages, no two are alike. Ones too high, ones too low, ones just right which for me is just about belly button high. 1 scrap solid core wooden door and a heavy duty vice is a great start.

Re: workbench plan needed

over the years of custom home construction, i have built many. the best i think was built from some old kitchen cabinets, 2 drawer stacks, one on each side, with a solid core door for a top. then 2 upper kitchen cabinets above the desk. the owner had a small room, basically a large closet, set aside for his guns, and reloading. with a solid core door and dead bolt lock to the room.

Re: workbench plan needed

I have built a few reloading benches with friends and mine. If you use 4X4 for the front legs or anchor it solid to the wall. I have holes drilled and I am able to move my press and powder throw or change as needed.

I just hate it if the bench moves ....... it turns into a distraction.

Invest in a sheet of formica for the top and it is easier to keep clean from powder and lubes.
