Got a question about workmans comp.
About 10 years ago I incured a small back injury at work.
Everything was documented by the companies occu-med authority. Nothing was ever diagnosed other than low back strain or back spasms. I went through several weeks of therapy and nothing seemed to help, in fact I got sick and tired of therapy, it was a waste of time. It got to a point where I was tired of getting nowhere and the injury didn't seem 'that bad' so I figured I would just have to live with it.
Well, the pain has persisted off and on in the same location since the injury. Can I go back and re-open the first case? The reason I ask now, is that recently, the 'ol back has been giving me a lot of trouble. If it's stems from the incident 10 years ago, I want the company to be responsible. But I also have 15 years in with the company and don't want to ....'stir a pot' that won't do any good anyway.

Has anyone had a similar experience? How did you fair?

I think you are a bit late, when I had my back surgery the lawer said I would have 7 years to reopen the case if there was a change. I can relate to the therapy not helping, you may want/need to contact a lawer to see what aplies in your state. And if they (the Dr) go to talking about implants (rods and screws) DON'T DO IT mine were removed about 10 years ago and I can still feel them! And they are huge. Good luck and get better back pain sucks.
