Well I've been servicing my outboards for years now. Mostly 2 strokes, and just a couple 4 strokes briefly not needing service. so Im a little new to 4 stroke f115 on my 2013 boat and motor. Purchased with 100 hrs, now 1 year later 196 and did service before trip. Oil change , lower unit impeller and fluids, fuel filter and water separator.

All service was smooth but, I noticed not all the oil from the crankcase seemed to drain during oil change. Maybe 3 quarts came out. Refilled with all oil from the kit. Ran motor for testing and check level and was above hash marks. I left it at high level and took my trip.

Motor ran great all trip no issues, never noticed and fluid leak in the water the whole week. Great trip and put 10 hours, lots of idle and lots of WOT. Last couple hours were mostly idle before loading and coming home. Boat is on trailer in drive way with motor tilted down and oil leaking to the drive way.

I'm away and mother sent me a picture, I'm only guessing that the oil overfilled could be the only symptom, and "what could be the worst case scenario" , and any suggestions for remedy and to check for when I'm back home.

Worst case.....the motor is destroyed.

Probably not, but over filling isn't good, you should have drained some off when you first knew it happend. The oil can foam up and/or over pressurize the system, this can lead to poor lubrication and blown seals.

The motor destroyed probably not yet. At least hope not. There were no symptoms of unusual running or alarms. I didn't notice any leaking during trailer it back home. To early to say much till I can get in front of it.

Any suggestions on which seals would fail first if over pressurized. Also is there anywhere oil would escape besides seals if it was over filled.

I believe the Motor is under warranty for the rest of the year.

I don't know what seals could leak on that motor. There's a crankcase breather that can drip if oil gets into it, so it's probably that, check it when you get back to the boat. Get the oil to the correct level then run it and see if it still drips.
