okay, after alot of busy weekends and other business, i think that it is time to rebuild outboard.(I posted what happened-thread called What Happened?) about the Suzuki dt140. I want to know that if i weld the Exhaust plate back on(broke almost all the bolts off), will that do harm? And also, could i just overbore one cylinder and not the rest? and if i decide to get another block, could i use the old intake manifold, pistons, etc; in the new block?
Thanks alot!!!

Re: Worth It???

hello
if you try to weld it you will burn up all the gaskets and have water leaks, most likely into the cyl as well as externally. you can try another block or make a drill guide bushing and get used to drilling and tapping. I have several home made bushing fixtures. any good tooling shop can sell you one. weld the bushing to a plate. center the bushing over the broken stud. clamp the plate in place with a bolt and drill away. if I only have one or two I freehand them.most any other blockyou find will most likely have broken bolts as well. dont buy it if the covers are still on.
