Hello,<br /><br /> what would be psi for water pressor @wot for 60 hp 2004.since it beeps at me at 5700rpm. wiil i hurt the mtr by quickly testing @ wot to see top rpm, since the mtr not breaking in yet<br /><br /> Thank you.

I wouldnt run it WOT. I follow what ever the breakin intructions were then worry about WOT. If the beeping worrying you that much take it back to the dealer. Its still under warranty. Right?

The motor will generate some extra heat until the parts loosen up. Good way to sieze the engine. Running WOT ahead of Merc's recommendation will void any warranty. Not sure about the 2004 but typical Merc pressure is 5 psi at idle to 30 psi @ WOT.

Thank you all. For the info , I understand now about psi readings, are the instructions for breaking in in the manual?. where do i find that info for Merc breaking in?<br />I see Tahasu break in chart here @ this website.<br /> Thank you..... Cal
