Wot for a 1973 65hp Evinrude

Picking a prop for 73 65hp Evinrude do not have a service manual could someone tell me if what wot rpm should I be looking for? Thanks in advance have 3 props on hand to try.

Typically these motors like 5500-6000rpms, but I am not certain on your exact year. Great that you have three props to experiment with!!. I think I would prop mine to run at 6000 with a very light load.

We as a group of family and friends have 6 of these 1970's 3cyl Evinrudes the 65 we are setting up is going over a pontoonygo boat and is the oldest the newest is an 82 70hp that my buddy's wife picked up at a yard sale for $85 power trim and all so we have a few props around I myself have 1978 75hp these old girls can be a little contrary at times and like their fuel but they can be worked on with basics skills and help from Iboats forum. Thank you very much.

Man I think
These 3cyl loopers are awesome on fuel!! Make sure you pitch low with these motors on a pontoon, I'd start with 11-13pitch.

starting with 13 don't have have 11 hope 13 works he has a tac and gps for speed check.

That should get you close. Just depends on size of the rig. Heavier boat = lighter pitched prop

no go on tests steering troubles test set for next Sunday. Should be happy with performance going up from 9.9

No tests motor not running now tracking that down will keep you informed
