wot hesatation

have a 1985 140hp mercruiser 4cyl it runs good except when you give it full throttle at idle. It hesitates then opens up and runs great it is enough make you lunge forward then back . At any other throttle position it doesnt do this any ideas thanks

May need a tuneup, or carb adjustment, or maybe a new accelerator pump in the carb.

had it tuned up mid summer didnt help. a friend told me there was some kind of switch in the throttle system to keep from over reving just something he had heard of ever hear of it

Not in that distributor.

had it tuned up mid summer didnt help.

Then you probably have some type of carb issue.
