What is the WOT rating of the 888 (302)? I have been concerned that mine will only turn 4000. Others have told me she should spin 4500. I just finished a complete overhaul and have 12 hours on the engine (first few were careful break-in). I don't know what she would originally turn since she was locked when bought. I have a 21p MI wheel alum and a Hustler 19p alum and they turn near identical R's. The motor was not rebuilt totally stock and has a few upgrades like better pistons, molly rings, hi-cap oil pump, etc. At 4000, she doesn't sound like she is working that hard.

Do you have access to a 17p prop just to see?<br /><br />Also, can you confirm that when you shove the throttle lever all the way forward that the cam on the carbuerator opens all the way? Are you absolutely positive that you're at WOT? Possible you didn't adjust your linkages right when overhauling???
