WOT RPMS

I have a '87 Bayliner 2550 Ciera Sunbridge, 5.7, 9'beam.What should my WOT RPMS be?? It seems that they are low,around 3800.I have owned the boat for 1 short summer(NY)would like to have ready to go for '05 summer.

The actual factory specification for OMC, Volvo, and Mercruiser was 4200 - 4600 RPMs.

hello<br /> yep depending on who marinized it and what fuel/ign system options it should turn someplace between 44 and 52. ya have to give us model numbers to track it further. I can tell you at 3800 you have a problem. if its an overproped problem you may suck a valve. its common on big boats that are over propped.

That doesn't sound like a Trailer Boat.........<br /><br />How much Scum,+ other Crap was/is built up on the boat Bottom ??????<br /><br />That's the 1st Place I'd be looking for Lost RPMs...........<br /><br />As Tommays says,<br />
if a dirty bottom slows you down what do think it does to your boat
