Would like to learn year of my Evinrude 5.5 hp Fisherman

Greetings, folks. I'd like to learn what year my Evinrude 5.5 Fisherman is, and I'm guessing from reading old postings that the serial number is a clue. Mine is 5518-07677. It's a blue & white engine cover. I'm definitely not a mechanic, but I'm interested in bringing it back to life. It's probably from the mid to late 50's. If someone can point me toward the year and maybe a suggestion for a repair manual, I'll be grateful. Thanks much.

Hi Burt<br /> your motor is a 1959 model. you can order a manual at the bottom of this page. You may be able to find a copy at the library.
