Ayuh,.....

Gelcoat is made to be shot into a Mold,+ have a boat built on it.......

Shooting Gelcoat Onto an existing boat is an Extremely Labor Intensive job,....
Basically,...
You need to shoot Twice as much Gelcoat as is needed,+ then Sand 1/2 of it Off, to get that Great Shine.......

If you want your boat to Look Sharp,.....
Take it to a few Autobody Shops,+ have them give you an estimate......
Paint is Much more reasonable,... Shines Just as Well,+ is nearly as Durable.....

your 88 should NOT need a new gell coat......yer asking for a world of hurt.......

if the shine is dull.....hit search.....there are cheeper options

Yup, boats buff out too. Gel coat oxidizes just like any other "paint".
