Would you buy? 1985 Yamaha 70ETLK $1400

Nice enough guy is selling this 1985 70hp outboard, but it does not pee. It's lived in fresh water its whole life, and he's going to pay to have the water pump replaced (actually, pay to have someone show me how to do it, per my request). Compression tested @ 120psi on all three cylinders, carbs were just rebuilt and look great. We're getting the boat that it's attached to.

I dont think that he should be selling it for that much seeing that it does not pee. I would be kinda cautious. THat sound like a lot for the motor so i think that u are paying for the boat to. For an 85 i think that 1400 is a little steep.

Subject to water test. It may have been damaged from overheating if the water pump is at issue.

Sounds like a lot of money for the motor alone.
