I was at the local Marathon station on Memorial Day and I had an employee of the tire store that is attached to the building offer to buy my boat off of me! At first I thought 'he couldn't be serious' so I threw the number of $1500 at him and he seemed to be more than willing to pay that. The reason why I picked $1500 is that's what I have in it, easily, probably more. On the one hand, I could use something a little more fishing friendly, meaning more stability with more storage. Something along the lines of a bass/flats boat. Before you go saying, "just keep what you've got" I want it to be known that my boat is a 1987 that probably needs transom/floor/stringers within a few years. This is my first boat and it wasn't supposed to last me forever. Which brings me back to why I think $1500 would be a good amount to get out of the boat. Canvasing the local craigslist, it seems I might be able to find something as I definately don't want to be boat-less all summer
. Would you do it?
