ok so on my boat that I have only had out once has a prop with too much pitch . the boat is a 1978 hammond 19.75' with a 260 merc and a alpha mr (I think it's the one with eye in top )
prop that was on it was a 21p and it would put the nose up high and work hard to try and get up but would take long time based on history of my past boat this is a prop issue
what I have for props to mess with is a 17p 14.50 d ,17p 13.25d and a 15p 16 d
so not really sure what to try I had thought about the 15p with large diameter just to see what it would do
I have no clue of top rpm at this point as i had other issues with the boat that would not allow me to go full throttle
