I purchased this boat used and it came with a spare prop. The one on the boat has a few nicks in it so I thought I would put the new spare on but it will not fit. Is there an adapter I can purchase or do I just need to buy another prop.?

A few pics of the old and new prop.

Re: Wrong Prop??

What is the hub system called for my old prop?

Now that I have to buy a new prop, how do I know what to buy? Size, pitch and such? I can read the numbers on the old prop, will they tell me what I need?

Spline count is different, original is 15, 'spare' is 14, won't fit at all.

'Spare' prop is for another manufacturers engine/drive

Prop shop can press that hub out and a new one in with the correct spline for your boat.

Your "Spare" is for a Johny/Rude v-4 small case, P/N 389948 = 1982 SST
