For the past 3 weeks here in NE Ohio the weather has been BEAUTIFUL during the week but has been horrible-ish on the weekends. Last weekend I was able to get out on the water about 7 PM Friday but had to wrap my fishing trip earlier because the weathermen were calling for storms in the afternoon. I checked the radar on my phone while on the lake, saw the big sea of green moving my way, and made the decision to get off the water before I got stuck in a downpour.
I got home, got the boat covered, and waited for the rain... It never came. The sea of green evaporated before it hit the ground. I lost valuable fishing time due to inaccurate forecasts (although the radar doesn't lie, the hour-by-hour cast showed nearly a 100% chance all day).
My question - how, in 2010, with all this technology, can we still not accurately predict weather???!
And, for the iBoaters, which sites have proven to be the most accurate - I've got a thing for AccuWeather because they've tended to be, well, the most accurate. The Weather Channel is always a bit off (AW is calling for sunny skies and highs in the mid-50's this Saturday while TWC is calling for rain and upper-40's)..
