What a circus. Hours of media hype, 180 laps of roundy-round and 20 laps of racing/demolition derby.

Newman did well and I congratulate him on the win, but NASCAR is now a media circus. :(

but NASCAR is now a media circus.

What do you think the Super Bowl is, 2 minute warning & 4th quarter, most of the times the games are a run away for one team and the last 2 minutes are nothing.
The biggest draw for the SB is the commercials.
And talk about a media circus, ..................... The Super Bowl invented and lives buy it.

50th Anniversary .

Did you expect them to just let it slide by?

I was impressed that there were not numerous engine failures.

And the new car design has got to be a plus.
The wing allowed drivers to get loose, but generally kept them from turning around and slamming the wall head-on.
With all the banging around, most of the cars were still in pretty good shape, fenders on, door panels in place.
Tires weren't a major issue.
Nor did it turn into a fuel economy race between Fords/Dodges/etc.

Although the first 175 laps were less than riveting, a decent race with lots of lead changes, and the dominant fast cars were there throughout the race.

With the yotas and chevys makin all the noise before the race, I was happy to see Dodge make a statement. 24 and 48 bowing out early ticked off my son, and probably alot of other kids too! Nice to see some of the vintage clips!! I think these new car designs COT evens up the field and they'll be many new winners this season.

Agree. The Superbowl is also a circus. I suppose the 50th is an acceptable excuse.

How in the flyin' flip did NASCAR allow Kyle Bush to pass Jeff Burton below the line? Then they said he backed off to give back the positions he gained, but he never got behind Burton?

Congratulations to Newman. I like the guy, and it was good to see that Dodge resurgence and somebody other than Hendrick . . . Jr. would've been OK though.

They let the yellow linew slide because if he had not droped there would have been a HUGE pileup

I still wonder what was wrong with burton on the restart  Misssed shift OR car problem
