I was hoping to have her in the water by now, but an extremely wet May has been conspiring against me. The Detroit area is within a fraction of an inch of rain from being the wettest May on record.

Well, the interior is just about complete. All that's left interior wise is to mount the motor controls, mount the seats, finish the wiring, and remake the passenger grab handle (aka, the "OH S&!*" handle.

Here is a photo of the dashboard:

If we get some decent weather around here, I should have her in the water in a couple of weeks.

She sure looks purty - but how you gonna steer? ;)

Lots of rain here in the Chicago-area as well - glad I don't have to use the boat to get out of my driveway like some others!

Really tight grip on a skinny shaft :D

Actually, the steering wheel is under the front deck. I need to do a little repair work to it still. The center cap is broken, and the "Larson" emblem needs to be glued back on.

OK how did you get the gelcoat or paint so shiny? Nice boat, ugly motor but I bet it runs like a champ, just like the one on my dadas old boat.

Bh357, That looks really nice. The dashboards get kinda cut up on those old boats due to all the restorations over the years. I presume you used some kind of thick plastic to cover the original.

Does that motor have a "fin" on top of the cowling? Also, can you get a lower cowling to cover the powerhead mounting bolts?
