xr2 lower unit questions

i have a 1992 150 merc....its just a reg 150L that is bad...i have a guy that wants to buy the lower unit and was wanting to know if it waould bolt on a 1986 xr2 150...i think they r the same but wanted to check... what would be a fair price for the lower unit....thanks

Long as they are both tha same length, yeah. Research tha net for price. It can vary quite a bit depending on how "proud" tha owner is ....
