Anyone like a go at diagnosing this one?

I've just bought a 2001 Yammie F115 and fitted it up. Prior to fitting it had been standing upright and idle for 3 months, prior to that it had been lying prop down/bracket up for about a month. Prior to that, I heard it running in the shop and it sounded great.

I fitted it up and ran it briefly on the only petrol I had which was a bit of 100:1 2stroke mix.

Problem is that it will not idle, needs plenty revs to start, runs rough to about 1800rpm, blows black smoke and bits of soot and runs sweetly above that. It has clean fuel in it now and runs right out to 6000rpm on the water, sounding very sweet.

Is this now an off to the shop job or can you suggest anything I can do at home?

Any help much appreciated,
Yockman
