I'm relatively new to boating, and have a 24 foot Marathon my wife and I like very much.
It has been a sort of semi restoration project. I have done a lot of work to it and it runs great and performs well on the water.
I noticed that Im taking on water, however, and it is really disconcerting. I have replaced all the bellows, gimbel bearing, exhaust rubber and flappers.
To the absolute best of my determination I'm going to have to replace the Y pipe. My only concern is making sure I purchase the right one. The boat is an 88 Marathon with a Mercruiser alpha 1, gen 1 5.7 (350 chevy motor)
I have to build a gantry and time this so I don't violate my housing covenants...sheesh. I know I know.
These all seem to fit many different models. IDO NOT have a gen 2. Can someone confirm if this one will work?
