y pipe removal

i have a 1989 Wellcraft 233 eclipce with a 5.7 mercruiser and am wanting to make the exhuast come out under the swim platform. To do so I need to remove the y pipe to fit the new pipe. Does anyone know if i need a spacer to do this and where to get one. Any help would be great. Thanks for reading

one more thing can this be removed without pulling the motor?
