When I was younger, large boats were called<br />yachts. I haven't heard this term in a while.<br />What are yachts? What size constitutes<br />being called yacht? Can you go yachting<br />in a dingy?
I don't think size is the measure (excuse the pun) of whether or not you call a boat a yacht. <br /><br />These days it seems as though anything with a sail is called a yacht but it was traditionally only used for expensive (usually large) pleasure boats and not nessesarily with sails. Did you see the thread about Greg Normans boat - its a yacht in the true sense of the word.<br /><br />Aldo
