This is common with 2-stroke motors. What you are probably seeing is just unburnt 2 cycle oil seeping from the exhaust since it's black in color. To be on the safe side though, I would check the lower unit oil level and the condition of the oil to make sure it doesn't have water in it. It's probably ok but it sure brings peace of mind to be sure.<br /><br />Good luck
