I'm pretty sure it's because of where y'all live!

When you buy your home or home owners insurance, they will advise you if you are on a flood plain.

Some people take the risk, and sometimes they have to pay.

Land is usually pretty cheap on a flood plain.


FYI, all that water came out of the northern United States... kinda figures eh?!
