Yam 250 Won't Shut Off..?

I took the boat for a short ride today and the starboard tac was acting eratic and blanking out.

When I shut the starboard motor off (been having other problems with it also) the motor just kept running. I finally shut the fuel off to kill it. I'm thinking maybe a bad ground. Any pointers on where to look first?

Thanks

I'm not sure what is going on here. Now the oil tank wont fill either. The tac lights up and the oil alarm sounds.

carefully test all ground connections, you have lost one someplace, either between the battery and the block or the block to the keyswitch.
the engine shuts down by grounding the CDI via the white wire on the keyswitch, circuit path is from the block, throgh the engine harness, then ign harness then the keyswitch and back to the CDI via the same harness's only the wire color is now white.
the oil tank fills with a grounded circuit, the pump normally has 12V and the CDI completes the ground path on a ground signal from the engine tank switch.
other than that, without a model number its hard to say much more.
