Yam F150 Starts, Runs15 Sec, Quits, Fuel Spills Under Cowling Latch

I was out running my Yamaha F150 the other day, and I began to smell fuel, and the motor quit. Rather than blow myself up, I limped home on motor #2....The motor starts right up, idles for about 10 seconds, quits, and then I notice fuel running down the back of the lower unit cover, coming from under the cowling latch. I've searched some posts and have read that this may be the result of a VST float sticking. Note, I've recently changed the spark plugs, the injectors, and water separator filter. Any advice on a fix, or recommended service appreciated. Thanks from Key Largo, Fla.

most people would take the cowling off and look to see where the fuel was coming from

(Duh). There is no fuel inside the cowling. The fuel is venting underneath and outside the cowling, just below the aft latch, through a small hole....presumably a vent or overflow hole, for what I'm not sure....which is why I posted this thread.

I bet you can follow that back to where it comes from.
if it comes back to the VST or other place then you know what parts need attention

VST float. pretty sure the vent hose comes out at the rear latch.
