Yamaha 115 four stroke 2005 help

Please help! When changing the oil on my yamaha 115 four stroke, about 1.5 quarts of oil was accidentally added into the "shiny bolt that looks like drain plug" located to the left of the yellow dipstick (and below the filter) EDIT--sorry, pic is sideways. The plug I'm referring to in the pic is south of the dipstick and southeast of the filter. The back of said "plug" had a black build up of carbon/soot dust.

Most of the oil seems to have drained out of the exhaust area in the thru hub of prop area. What does this "plug" lead to? How do we fix any damage we caused (did we cause any damage?).

I'd say that plug goes into the cooling system, or exhaust system, since the oil drained out the prop. I dont think you hurt anything.
