Yamaha 115 Model?

My transom bracket ID plate say 115AETO. I cannot find this in any years parts manual. The boat they are on is an 84 model and these motors are close to it. I need to know the years of these motors to order parts if anyone can help please shoot a reply this way.

the 84 85 and 86 US models often had AETO on them its meaningless for a year model on US imported motors. our year model codes appear to be very different than the world market.

My 2003 40XWT has a Q. Seems Australia is the same as Europe.

6E5 = 1981- or newer (115A/115B/115C)<br /><br />Since You have a generation A, the first generation, it is probably around 1981 or some years newer.<br />Same year as Your boat seems likely since often a boat and outboard is bought at the same time when new. But the serial nr You posted should give exact year and I'm sure a Yamaha dealer can tell from the serialnr what Year it is.

It's a 1984 model. It starts from 700101 (6E5-UL)
