Hello, I am new to the forum and to the powerboating. I’ve been thinking about buying a panga, but the water test showed some engine problems. The engine (Yamaha 140HP V4 2stroke, from early 90’s – my local Panama dealer was not able to check the year from the serial number…) seems to work just fine, it has 118-125PSI in every cylinder (cold), starts ok and moves the panga nice, but it turns on the overheating buzzer while still cold. The temperature sensors were checked by the technician and he says these are OK. The buzz occurs every now and then, but the engine remains cold, no problem touching it, the water from the “pisser” is also cold after one hour of running.<br />I’ve searched the forum but can’t find similar problem. Could anyone suggest things to check out? Thanks!
