Yamaha 150 4 stroke

I'm looking for info on impeller replacement! Does this motor have a shift linkage that has to be disconnected? On my 8 hp I can see where the shift rod can be disconnected, can't seem to find it on the 150 hp. Thanks Dan

There is no shift linkage disconnection.

To get an impeller, you just order it via the model number. See the plate on the engine. Impellers are parts that fit a # of engine applications. You can order the part reasonably on IBoats.com.

You'll need to pop off a plastic fitting on top of the back end of the outdrive. There's a bolt down in the hole to be removed so you can drop the trim tab. There is another bolt under the trim tab that must come out before the lower unit will separate.

Once all the lower unit bolts are out, it'll drop down easily.
