yamaha 2.5 ?

Hi guys. I have a 2.5 fourstroke yamaha on a zodiac zoom 285. Now the tiller handle from 1/2 to wide open there is no change in rpm. Is this normal for a 2.5 ? It pushes it around ok. I havent dialed in the trim yet What do you think. Thanks Mike

check the linkage on the motor itself
