Hi,

I need help deciding which engine to put on my futura mark 3.

i like the yamaha for power and low weight.

but the honda will be quieter burn cleaner and run more efficiently. but will cost me around $1000 more.

What you do think?

thanks,

Sooner or later you will run into a sign that says, "Carbureted 2 stroke outboards prohibited".

As far as banned 2 strokes I guess that depends on where you boat.
The Honda is a fine motor and might deliver ever so slightly better fuel use.
It will easily use up the difference in routine maintainance intervals.
The 4 stroke generally will require more careful setup to have the same or close to the same hole shot.I think the most important thing is to have a well established
servicing dealer close by.
