Hi all,

Just had a general question for you Yamaha users out there.

I'm looking at purchasing a 1992 Grady White that has a set of 1992 Yammy 200's mounted to the back. Engines have 565 hours on them.

From all I've read, this seems to be about the strongest used motor setup around. Obviously there is no guarantee how long these will last, but people seem to like them. The engines have been serviced religiously by a good Yamaha guy.

I've seen some people say that between 400-600 hours, outboards are getting close to the time frame where new powerheads may be needed.

I'd like to get an idea of what I'm in for. Compression checks show all cylinders between 120 and 122. What's the opinions on these engines longevity with regular service?

Thanks
