I use an 2 stroke 8hp 8MSHB for trolling utilizing the alternator/regular to keep the battery charged. In past years it supplied enough current to run the basic electronics and nav lights. This year it is charging the battery to an overcharge condition, 16V, and the only way to control it is to run with additional power items on like stereo and radar. Sounds to me like the regulator has failed, anyone have a similar experience?
