Yamaha 225 precision blend 1994

I just recently adquired a 1994 Mako 21.5 with a Yamaha 225 precision blend 1994, I have ownned a Yamaha 1985 in another boat and I have been very happy about it. I don't know much about this engine , and I would like to hear negatives and positives comments.<br /><br />Thanks

I have a 93 225TLRR 90 degree that has been perfect over the years. It's fresh water but I baby it like a child. Last week I replaced fuel pumps, Tstats and impeller. The only problem I ever had was a loose main fuse connector which I understand can be a problem. I'm no mechanic but I really like this engine. Still good compression.
