Re: yamaha 225ETLD, slow speed, all oil gauges light

its easy to fix, the system does NOT monitor oil flow. there is a 3 position switch inside the engine tank. one turns the transfer pump on,one turns it off and the 3rd sets the alarm audible, visual and sets the CDI into speed reduction. the switch in the remote tank sets the oil green lamp indicate when closed(grounded) and sets the yellow when open. all other indicators are set when any switch closes(grounds). just beaware there are several things going on at the same time and if the ECU doesnt "see" what should be it can set false alarms. also if you remove the switch assy from the engine tank drain it first and RETRIEVE the filter to tank seal. always use a new seal on reassmbly. the object is to keep any trash at the tank bottom from falling into the pump intake line.
