I have twin 1997 250 Yammy's and on My last trip fishing on the fourth day of running the boat My starboard engine did not want to hold cruise rpm's(3800-4000) it would run fine at low rpm's or above 4300 but at 3800 it would run for a while then drop down to about 2500 or so but if given more throttle would pick back up and run fine for a while before doing it again. My first thought was a midrange fuel pump going bad but if anyone else has any ideas or experience I would love to hear it. Thanks and tight lines.

There are some very knowledgable people on this forum, but they will need the model number of your motor.

post a model number, but with twins its most likly going to be a an S250.first two places I would look are the 3 lift pumps and the VST filter. do both engines.
