Yamaha 250VX no spark

Hi everyone.

I have a Yamaha 250VX, with no serial number but six carbs, so it's somewhere between 90-96. It has the large cdi-box between the heads.

It has no spark. On either cylinder. Now as to my limited knowledge this engine has three separate triggers, and clearly six separate ignition coils. I lack the equipment to measure peak voltage, so I'm trying to find a clever way to eliminate parts. I suspect the cdi-box at this point.

Getting a certified mechanic to look at it is the absolute last option, as those are far between around here, and those I've spoken to generally knows less than me about this engine (!).

I have disconnected the killswitch to eliminate that. I have also disconnected the main cable from the remote control. This was an overnight fault, it ran fine one day and refused to start the next. When I first tried to start it it actually fired a bit, leading me to first suspect the carbs.

My main question: are there any sensors on this thing I might have overlooked that can explain this behavior? Are there anything simple I might have overlooked? Can I cleverly find out if the cdi-box is the problem without the means to measure peak voltage?

Many thanks in advance.

EDIT: After reading a bit it seems I have an S250 with a VX cover?

EDIT2: I fixed it, it was one of the grounds.
