Yamaha 2hp keeps dying

I have a 89 yamaha 2 stroke 2hp engine that I use as a kicker on a 13' whaler.
While using it the other day it would run for a minute and then stop. I was always able to get it going again but it would always stop within a minute. What are some things I should look at?
