Yamaha 30hp - 2 stroke

hi all,

Have just brought myself a newish motor with only 50 hours and immaculate condition,any idea on the year model please,was told 2002-2003.

Yamaha 30CV - 2 stroke

30hmh - 61tk - L - 102367

and a few questions

There is also a plug on the bottom left corner of the motor with a plastic screw top seal on it,i have traced the wires back and they run up to the top of the engine into the stator plate area,is this ready for a charge lead,if so,does anyone know the part number i need to buy for it ?





can i use Evinrude/johnson gear leg oil in this engine,as i have 2 litres brand new from my old motor ?

And how many hours of use are these motors made to give in a lifetime ?

Somewhere on the identification tag there is a letter, either in the low left or right corner. It may be a little difficult to see, but it is not in the same line as the serial number. When you have found it compare it to the following table. Even though it is in Swedish it should be clear for foreigners.

As for the gear oil; marine gear oil is marine gear oil and is suitable for marine use.
