Yamaha 4-stroke flushing methog

I have just taken delivery of a new boat equipped with a pair of Yamaha 225 four strokes which I use exclusively in salt water. I have a question about how to flush the engines and, the manual is not real clear. The dealer is a packager (not a Yamaha shop). I have talked with a couple of folks at an authorized Yamaha repair shop near where the boat is berthed and, was not real impressed or comfortable with that. The engines have a water hose connection on the right hand side just beneath the cowling. Is that the only flush point required or is it necessary to use clamps on the lower unit and run the engine? The typical round clamps will not work on these engines as the port shape is long and narrow so, if clamps are necessary, can someone please recommend a source of to accomodate the port shape?

GHF, a pal of mine recently bought twin 150 Yamaha 4 strokes. His motors flush at the attachment on the front under the cowl. He says the motors don't need to be running or flushed any other way. These engines replaced a set of 130 Yamaha Saltwaters and they flushed the same. They didn't suffer from doing it that way and he had them 7 years in saltwater.

using the cowl mounted fush ports are better than nothing. however it wont flush the entire motor. I run them all the time on flush muffs. use the rectangular ones and wrap them with a rubber shock cord to assist in holding them in place. but DO NOT run the engine using the cowl mounted flush port. the 150 is basically the same. it does not flush well past the t-stat area and dont run it on the cowl port.
