Yamaha 40hp 4 stroke problem

Hi guys,
Hope you can help me out, I have a 40 hp 4 stroke yamaha 2005, it appears to have a noise (rattle) in the lower leg about 250mm or there abouts above cav plate, not there when in neutral but very noticable in forward and reverse, the noise appe to go out when revs are higher but not good in lower revs.
Please help me out

remove the prop to see if the noise goes away.
I have heard that a heavy SS prop will cause a noise while idling in gear, but the lighter aluminum is not as noticeable.
