I bought this motor for trolling but the problem is it won't idle. It races up and down in neutral and idles erratically in gear and dies. I've played around with the mixture but it doesn't wan't to run slowly. Full throttle is no problem. It's a noisy little motor but run's fine. Drop it back to idle and it goes ok then a few seconds later it starts going up and down again until it stalls. I now want to sell it but I can't bring myself to sell it like this. I have sprayed that Mercury branded carby clean stuff through it but i've never pulled it apart.
