I have a 2011 Yamaha F70LA and I decided to make sure that it was running before taking it out. I just had it serviced last summer. It won't start. It gives a slight putter, and nothing more. Fuel is getting to the first external filter, and is getting through the external pump (sorry if I don't know the proper names for these). I'm guessing that it may be the fuel pump in the VST. I began trying to remove the intake manifold to get to the VST, but the lowest bolt on the left side of the manifold is almost impossible to get to! I gave up for the night. I'm afraid that if I get the bolt out, I'll never get it back in! I only use non-ethanol fuel, although the boat has not been run since last summer. Is there any thing else that could be the problem? Fuses are good, and all else seems ok. Is there any way to test the fuel pump without having to remove the intake manifold? Thanks for the help, and thanks for the patience!
